The thought occurred to me recently that some things in life are just plain ol' satisfying...towing people when they are stuck is one of them. Then upon further reflection, I realized I flat out like to help people. Considering the fact that I am more than adept at the basic needs of motor function and I have a basic need to be of service...why not set out to intentionally do just that?
And thus... Captain Save-A-Ho was born. I have decided that, at minimum, once a month I will drive around and search for people with car trouble. Change their tire...give em a gallon of gas...some water in their over-heated radiator...tow them out of the mud...whatever. Last night, I bought me a tool bag and gathered some basics I already had to fill it. No business cards...no handing out numbers...just random acts of kindness. The only thing I ask in return is that you pay it forward...

Vision Board
Often times, a project or business concept gets derailed or we lose our motivation to move forward. Once a month, or so, I meet up with a group of women, thru which we help each other with our endeavors so that we stay on track and focused. This also gives fresh perspectives and throws in some fresh ideas or innovations to give our projects that spark we have been missing. Last months meeting, we were introduced ( at least I was) to vision boards.
According to SelfGrowth.com, "a vision board is a simple yet powerful visualization tool that activates the universal law of attraction to begin manifesting your dreams into reality. The concept of the vision board (also known as a goal board, goal map, or treasure map) has been around for generations, but it’s gained a renewed interest and popularity after success expert John Assaraf related his story of using vision boards to achieve his dreams in the best-selling DVD documentary The Secret.[1]
WHAT'S A VISION BOARD?
A vision board is simply a visual representation or collage of the things that you want to have, be, or do in your life. It consists of a poster or foam board with cut-out pictures, drawings and/or writing on it of the things that you want in your life or the things that you want to become. The purpose of a vision board is to activate the law of attraction to begin to pull things from your external environment that will enable you to realize your dream. By selecting pictures and writing that charges your emotions with feelings of passion, you will begin to manifest those things into your life."
Needless to say, this vision board (or should I say action board) has been very effective and helpful for me. It motivates and inspires me to get off my ass and be productive.
