Wake Up! Enlightenment is Happening!

I believe you will never be truly happy unless you know and accept who you are and then find your place in this universe. Life is not about materialistic bullshit. (Are YOU keeping up with the Kardashians?) I believe our true purpose in life is to embrace and utilize whatever creativity we have, to better the universe.

2013 is the year. I believe that we entered into the Age of Aquarius as of the end of the Mayan Calendar. They charted the stars thru to the end of an age. The Age of Enlightenment. Halleluiah!! I am officially over all the bs of the UN-enlightened. And seriously, my "DING, lights are on!" moment encompassed a great many things. I truly hope that more people come to their own 'enlightenment' soon. Like really wake up. UNfortunately, people will not 'wake up' until they are ready to receive new open-minded information.

Here are three things that have been life changers for me:

A. Depression levels are so high throughout the world. Why? Because the voices in our head are LOUD, we dont always know how to turn them off, and psychology without astrology sucks. This is how I put my depression in check:
  • 1st. I read my Natal Chart. Did you know that there is more to your 'sign' than just your sun sign? (In my case, Capricorn.) Each planet in our solar system has a different affect on your personality, from your heart, to thought process, and even how you might be in the sack. The following link will take you to a place where you can enter your birth info, and get an astrological breakdown on the basics of you. Click Here.
  • 2nd. I just discovered the 12 Houses in astrology...that's nerd speak for the voices in your head. This is a little more complicated to figure out. But you can Click Here to see a description of the Sun sign thru the 12 Houses. There will also be links in the right hand column to see how the other planets affect you in each of the houses. Want to know more?  Come back later for a blog post dedicated to the houses!
Reading those things about myself, awakened something in the compass of my brain.

B. Next on my path to enlightenment would have to be watching the Zeitgeist movement documentaries. Out of the 3, I believe the Zeitgeist Addendum is the most important.  Use a movie night, if you have to, to watch this 2+ hour documentary that should blow your mind.

C. Last on my path, for today's blog anyway, I realized that the universe is all energy. We are all energy. All forms of energy affect other forms of energy.  Learn to tap into the energies of the universe correctly, and any thing is possible.

Closet Tips...

I spent a portion of my Christmas Day free time re-organizing my closet. This also included giving The Him the dresser and taking over the ENTIRE closet :)

I happen to crave organization although I am terrible with the upkeep. But when its done, it is esthetically very pleasing.

I have a ZERO budget when it comes to allocating awesome organization tools, so along the way I had to improvise on some things...thought I would share.

Perhaps its a little OCD, but i HAVE to have all the same color hangers and my clothes HAVE to be seperated by color. So much easier for me to find crap that way. (plaid IS a color btw...Please note that I KNOW I have a lot of clothes. Half of them are my 'skinny' clothes man...SOMEDAY I will be able to wear them again :-P )

First issue I had was in this hanging organizer. Ive had it for 7 or 8 years and it is now officially broken, but I still needed something to organize different articles of clothing. So... I TURNED IT SIDEWAYS and stuck it on the shelf!

plaid bottoms, skirts, long shorts, short shorts, pjs

It also helped that I confiscated one of these organizers from The Him in the switch, so I still have a place for my jeans.

The second issue I had was in my floppy boots. I know they make things that you can buy and stick in your boot legs...but I cant bring myself to spend money on something I can create myself. Thus...this idea. I had just finished, in the days prior, wrapping presents and coincidentally used a LOT of rolls of wrapping paper. Guess whats on the inside of those rolls...cardboard tubes of sorts. Guess what I tend to hoard...random shit that can be used later.

Step 1: Cut! I cut mine in half because I have tall boots!!

Step 2: Insert into boot, all the way to the bottom.

Step 3: ENJOY!!!

Vision Board

Often times, a project or business concept gets derailed or we lose our motivation to move forward. Once a month, or so, I meet up with a group of women, thru which we help each other with our endeavors so that we stay on track and focused. This also gives fresh perspectives and throws in some fresh ideas or innovations to give our projects that spark we have been missing. Last months meeting, we were introduced ( at least I was) to vision boards.

According to SelfGrowth.com, "a vision board is a simple yet powerful visualization tool that activates the universal law of attraction to begin manifesting your dreams into reality. The concept of the vision board (also known as a goal board, goal map, or treasure map) has been around for generations, but it’s gained a renewed interest and popularity after success expert John Assaraf related his story of using vision boards to achieve his dreams in the best-selling DVD documentary The Secret.[1]

WHAT'S A VISION BOARD?
A vision board is simply a visual representation or collage of the things that you want to have, be, or do in your life. It consists of a poster or foam board with cut-out pictures, drawings and/or writing on it of the things that you want in your life or the things that you want to become. The purpose of a vision board is to activate the law of attraction to begin to pull things from your external environment that will enable you to realize your dream. By selecting pictures and writing that charges your emotions with feelings of passion, you will begin to manifest those things into your life."

Needless to say, this vision board (or should I say action board) has been very effective and helpful for me. It motivates and inspires me to get off my ass and be productive.
